Jamie Foxx & Deon Taylor Set Up Production Outfit

LOS ANGELES: No Brainer Films is a new specialty production company from actor, writer and producer Jamie Foxx and writer, director and producer Deon Taylor that will focus on film and TV projects.

Foxx and Taylor will develop, finance, write, director and produce mainstream films and TV series budgeted under $10 million under the No Brains Films banner. Robert Smith, the founder and managing principal of private equity firm Vista Equity Partners is financing the new Los Angeles-based venture.

Initial projects greenlit for No Brainer Films include the TV series Tommy’s Little Girl, a mob drama starring Selma Blair (Cruel Intentions), Paul Sorvino (Goodfellas), Tony Sirico (The Sopranos) and James Russo (Public Enemies). The show was created by Foxx, who will co-write and co-direct alongside Taylor.
