ITVS GE Readies Crime Dramas for Cannes

LONDON: ITV Studios Global Entertainment is to present the returning dramas Vera and Monroe, as well as a slate of new prime-time series, including Prime Suspect, at MIPCOM.

Following deals from earlier in the year, Vera has been licensed to RUV in Iceland, RTV Slovenija in Slovenia, TV4 in Sweden, NRK in Norway and AXN Mystery in Japan. Monroe has been licensed to ABC Television and Universal Channel in Australia, Baltijos TV in Lithuania, True Visions in Thailand, Sky HD in South Korea, Singtel in Singapore, NRK in Norway, Shaw Media in Canada, Prime in New Zealand and YLE in Finland.

The company will showcase a range of prime-time dramas at MIPCOM, including the U.S. series Prime Suspect from ITV Studios America and Universal Media Studios. Prime Suspect stars Maria Bello as detective Jane Timoney. Underbelly: Razor, from the acclaimed crime-drama franchise, will debut alongside The Jury, which stars Julie Walters as a defense barrister at the center of a controversial re-trial. The series Appropriate Adult features the police investigation of Fred West and Above Suspicion: Silent Scream is the newest installment of the crime drama.
