ITVFest to Broadcast via Unicorn Media Service

TEMPE: The Independent Television Festival (ITVFest), an event dedicated to independently produced original TV pilots and web series, has signed a deal to air content, including its award ceremony, worldwide through Unicorn Media’s UMedia Player Services platform.

ITVFest, being held July 31 to August 6, will broadcast entries from this year’s event via Unicorn’s UMedia Player Services. The platform allows media clients to display content on a highly customizable embeddable player, and also offers a variety of value-added features. Features on the menu level include Share, Embed, Email, Content Details, Thumbnail Dropdowns, Queue, as well as search capabilities that enable the user to build a playlist within the player. In addition to the player features, clients also receive detailed and targeted analytics and reporting features.

ITVFest’s executive director, AJ Tesler, commented: "We are ecstatic about our partnership with Unicorn Media. This year we really wanted to provide an online platform that showcases the incredible work submitted to the festival. Unicorn Media gives us the ability to manage our submissions using an extremely intuitive content management system as well as delivering our pilots online in a high-quality format long after the festival is over."

"Unicorn Media’s ability to publish content online in a timely manner, as well as our unmatched ability to provide insight into content consumption and end user behavior, was crucial in ITVFest’s selection process," said Sean Gilliam, Unicorn Media’s senior VP and general manager of platform services. "The ITV Festival is an international event with compelling content, a global audience and a recognized name. It’s an honor to be chosen as the engine behind the delivery of that content."
