LONDON: The U.K.’s ITV1 has commissioned a second season of Banijay International’s competitive reality format 71 Degrees North.

The show, in which ten celebrities test their physical and mental limits through competitions as they trek through the Norwegian highlands, is set to air later this year. In Norway, the format has run for 15 consecutive seasons and is one of the most-watched entertainment series in the country, as well as in Holland and Belgium.

Karoline Spodsberg, the managing director of Banijay International, said, “We are delighted that ITV 1 has recommissioned this hard-working format. The show continues to have huge international potential for a wide audience demographic for prime time.”
