LONDON: The new documentary Take That: Look Back, Don’t Stare, which follows the reunion of the former band mates, is to air on ITV1 in November, ahead of the planned December 6 release of the full-length DVD.

Pulse gained access to film for the last 12 months to tell the real story of the British pop group’s reunion. The doc follows Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Mark Owen as they reunite with former band mate Robbie Williams, writing and recording an album together. Take That: Look Back, Don’t Stare shows just how the reunion came about and how the band rekindled a friendship some 15 years after they last recorded together. The film will air ahead of the highly anticipated release of Take That’s brand-new single, The Flood, the first song to be released off their forthcoming album, Progress.

John Kaye Cooper, ITV’s controller of entertainment, said: “We’re thrilled that our great relationship with Take That continues and they feel ITV will be able to give viewers and fans the first opportunity to see this amazingly frank and honest film about the last 12 months of Britain’s best loved band.”

Dan Bowen, producer at Pulse, added: "It’s exciting for us to continue our tradition of producing intimate, access-based documentaries. In Take That: Look Back, Don’t Stare, the film directors Fred Scott and Nick Davies have created a beautifully crafted film on an iconic band, and brilliantly captured a rare insight into Take That’s roller-coaster ride over the last 12 months, that we hope fans will treasure.”
