LONDON: A new online service from ITV Studios, called ITV Wild, offers unique access to thousands of hours of wildlife and natural history content for educational and entertainment purposes.

Launching this fall, ITV Wild will offer families and schools easy access to clips from its archive of wildlife and natural history programming. The destination will have a cross-promotional plan with ITV.com and related ITV network programming, including Ray Mears’ Field Guide to Britain, Lion Country and Wild Cat Country. A subscription service will be available to schools, which will be launched at BETT, the world’s largest education technology event in January 2011.

Andrea Cornes, the creative director at ITV Studios Anglia, commented, "ITV Studios’ wildlife and natural history library is a rich resource of inspirational content and the launch of ITV Wild underlines our key strategy to find new ways to exploit these vast archives. The online service is designed to provide easy access for families and teachers alike alongside supporting educational material and resources, ensuring that a whole new generation of viewers will benefit from the astounding programming available from ITV Studios."
