ITV Acquires Southern Star Police Drama

LONDON, November 6: ITV has acquired from Southern Star
International the rights to the police drama Liverpool 1 for ITV3.

The police drama is based in Liverpool, following the
plainclothes department of Merseyside CID. “We are thrilled to be bringing such
a high-quality drama and compelling narratives to ITV3, the home of great
stories, beautifully told,” said Emma Tennant, the controller of ITV3. “With
fantastic production values and a wonderful cast we are confident it will prove
a great success on ITV3.”
