ITN Ups Two Execs to MD Roles

LONDON: Asha Oberoi has been appointed to the newly created role of managing director for ITN Source, while Adam Chadwick has been named managing director of ITN Consulting & New Ventures.

Oberoi is currently the content director of ITN Source. The new business combines on-the-day footage (previously ITN International) with archive sales. Oberoi joined ITN Source in March 2007 and was responsible for building its interests in new media as well as overseeing existing and exploring new content representation deals. Prior to joining ITN Source, Oberoi worked as a consultant on ITV.com.

Chadwick, who takes on an expanded role, is currently managing director of ITN Consulting. He will also be given additional responsibility for exploring new ventures and new business opportunities on behalf of the company. Chadwick has had a varied career working across ITN since joining in December 1992 including both C4 News and ITV News. Adam established ITN Consulting in 2004.

Both positions report to John Hardie, ITN’s CEO. Hardie commented: “Under the leadership of Asha and Adam these divisions will create a stronger, more commercially focused ITN, better able to serve the needs of our customers. This refocusing of our activities will enable the commercial units to perform better and compete more effectively.”
