ITN Productions Tapped for Celebrity News Content

LONDON: ITN Productions has landed a commission from Virgin Media Television to produce online and on-air celebrity news for its Internet channel Liv and pay-TV outlet LIVING.

Under the Celebs 24/7 brand, content will be available in short form on Liv. In parallel with the Liv rolling-news service, ITN Productions is delivering programming for LIVING under the Celebs 24/7 brand, including a 20-minute program for Saturday mornings. The show will feature a tongue-in-cheek round up of the latest news and gossip from the world of celebrity.

Mark Sammon, the head of commissioning at Virgin Media Television, said: “This innovative deal with ITN Productions adds their unrivaled experience of news production to our groundbreaking online and linear channels. The weird world of celebrity remains the single biggest draw for Liv’s audience, and I’m delighted that we can now bring that content into the LIVING schedule too.”
