Introducing TV Brasil

NEW YORK: Recognizing the tremendous potential of the Brazilian television market, the group behind World Screen and TV Latina has introduced its newest resource, TV Brasil.

The first edition will be published this July in time for the ABTA trade show taking place in São Paulo, Brazil.

As the setting for two upcoming global sporting events—the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Summer Olympics—Brazil has emerged as one of the world’s fastest-growing economies. The sixth-largest advertising market in the world, Brazil is on track to reach television adspend revenues of $22 billion this year.

TV Brasil will be written in Portuguese, chronicling the latest developments in Brazil and featuring Q&As with the country’s leading media executives. It will be included inside TV Latina and distributed separately throughout Brazil as its own stand-alone publication. Online, a new TV Brasil destination will be created on TVLatina.tv.

“As someone who grew up in Rio de Janeiro, I take great pride in seeing the prominence Brazil has achieved on the global stage,” said Ricardo Guise, the president and publisher of World Screen. “As the only truly global publishing group, World Screen has the expertise and the resources to turn TV Brasil into a leading source of information on what’s happening in this exciting media market.”
