LONDON: The drama-doc series Nazi Hunters, which made its global debut at MIPTV 2010, has been sold by Cineflix International Distribution into a number of new territories.

The 8×1-hour HD series has sold to 13 broadcasters. Among those signed up to air the series are National Geographic Channels U.S. and International (multiple territories), A&E Television Networks (multiple territories), Fox Latin America Channel, Seven Network (Australia), Hubu Media Group (China) and RTL Television (German-speaking territories). Further broadcasters are Sky New Zealand, RTE (Eire), TV2 (Norway), YLE (Finland) and Marjan Television Network (Afghanistan, Iran, Tajikistan). Nazi Hunters is produced by Cineflix Productions in association with History (Canada), History (International), Historia (French Canada) and National Geographic (Latin America). The series tells how a band of secret agents and Jewish avengers hunted down some of the 20th century’s most evil men.

Paul Heaney, Cineflix International Distribution’s president and managing director, said: “It is Nazi Hunters’ unique mix of interviews, archive and reconstruction that proves so compelling in the telling of these stories. I’m pleased the strong sales mean that a wide audience will be able to discover these important events for themselves."

Executive producer Nick Godwin added: “It’s really the end of an era for Nazi hunting. This is our last chance to talk to many of the remarkable people who risked their lives to bring Nazis to justice. That, for me, is the real point of Nazi Hunters: we’ve got the guys on camera who actually went out there and did it; who hunted down some of the most ruthless men in the world. And the stories they have to tell are astonishing.”
