Infiltrados to Premiere in the U.S.

NEW YORK: Univision is set to premiere the documentary Infiltrados (Infiltrated), produced by Documentales Univision.

Infiltrados explores FARC, one of the world’s deadliest terrorist organizations, accountable for 60 percent of the cocaine that comes into the U.S. The documentary will debut on the Univision Network tomorrow and be broadcast with English and Spanish subtitles.

“The launch of our new unit, Documentales Univision, reaffirms our commitment to the world-class offerings we have in store for our dedicated and growing community,’” said Isaac Lee, the president of news at Univision Communications. “The riveting story presented in Infiltrados is a testament to how deep we dig and far we go to tell critical, and sometimes dangerous, stories.”

“It is an honor to be part of an award-winning news team as it expands its coverage to include long-form documentaries,” said Juan Rendon, the director of Documentales Univision at Univision News. “Infiltrados tells an important story about what it takes to successfully penetrate a terrorist organization and eliminate its leaders. As the world struggles to battle both drugs and terrorism, the documentary showcases the successes of Colombia’s police and the brave men and women who went undercover, joined the ranks of the FARC, and put their lives on the line for the sake of their nation.”
