Imira Secures Range of Deals in Latin America

BARCELONA: Imira Entertainment has scored a number of deals in Latin America, including sales in Brazil, Argentina and Ecuador.

Imira’s 104×2-minute animated preschool series Vitaminix and the company’s 39×3-minute Saari have sold to Brazil’s free-TV channel Canal Futura. The country’s TV Cultura picked up the first season of the 26×26-minute live-action series Wicked Science.

In Argentina, Canal 7 also snapped up Wicked Science, acquiring the entire 56×26-minute series, as well as the 52×13-minute show Corneil & Bernie.

Meanwhile, in Ecuador, Imira secured sales with free-TV broadcaster RTV, picking up the 52×7-minute series Bugged and the 52×11-minute show Dino Dan.

Christophe Goldberger, the head of distribution and marketing at Imira Entertainment, said of the sales: “We have focused on building relationships in Latin America for several years and these deals show how the region has become a key market for our wide-ranging catalogue.”
