ImaginAsian Picks Up MBC Korean Drama

NEW YORK, August 15: ImaginAsian TV has acquired the rights
to the hit Korean drama series Princess Hours from Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) for launch on August 28 at
8 p.m.

“Asia is abuzz over the popularity of Princess Hours, the hit Korean drama series of 2006,” said David
Chu, the SVP of programming and production at ImaginAsian TV. “Based upon a
best-selling Korean comic book series, this series drew audiences in from all
over Asia with its inspired love story and cast of Korean pop stars. The
addictive nature of Korean drama series-viewing has become well known around
the world and we’re committed to bringing American audiences these quality
Asian programs for everyone to experience.”

The 24×1-hour drama serial will be aired in prime time and
will be accompanied by The Lounge,
ImaginAsian TV’s original program hosted by Emily Chang, giving viewers a
behind-the-scenes look at the series, as well as introducing them to the newest
trends in Korean culture. The drama will be aired in its original Korean with
English subtitles.
