SILVER SPRING: Investigation Discovery (ID) has placed a three-episode order for Cleaning Up, a series that spotlights the unique business of crime-scene cleanups, from New Wave Entertainment.

The docu-series centers on Neal Smither, his wife Lindy, and their company, Crime Scene Cleaners. They are in the business that cleans up everything from bio-hazards to fatalities to beached whales. The multimillion dollar company was created ten years ago, inspired by the film Pulp Fiction. The concept was developed by Matt Ogens (Confessions of a Superhero), who will executive produce with New Wave’s Barry Katz and Brian Volk-Weiss.

“Investigation Discovery is currently the fastest growing network in cable, with an incredibly diverse slate of original programming every night of the week,” said Henry Schleiff, the president and general manager of Investigation Discovery. “Cleaning Up has all the hallmarks of a great character-based docu-series while staying true to ID’s mission of superb storytelling. We look forward to this genre-stretching new series from New Wave Entertainment.”
