Icon Inks Deal for Lola & Virginia with Panini

BARCELONA, August 29: Icon Animation has entered a
multi-territory deal with Panini, a leading international collectable stickers
and trading card company, for its animated girl-skewing series Lola &
Virginia.

Panini will launch a series of products including a sticker
stack book, story albums, puzzles and coloring books. The roll out will begin
in Italy, where the series currently airs on the Disney Channel, before
extending to Spain, Portugal and Brazil.

Lola & Virginia,
aimed towards children aged 6 to 12, has sold worldwide and is supported by a licensing and merchandising strategy that includes a deal
for Spain and Portugal with Comercial Nim for school sets, stationery,
backpacks and pencil cases. Further product lines are planned by Comercial Nim
working with Mendía Marketing, which will include games, T-shirts, beach sets
and toiletries.

Grupo Edebe has already launched
ten manga-style comic books in Spain and mobile content producer Alvento is
distributing ring tones, games, images, screensavers and a WAP portal for the
brand.

In addition, Icon Animation is producing online games for
the Lola & Virginia website, which
is available in Spanish, English and Catalan. It is also currently being
localized into Italian and Portuguese.

The series is a co-production between Icon Animation, Millimages, France 3,
TV Catalunya and ETB. It is based on an original
concept created by Myriam Ballesteros, who co-founded Icon Animation with Sergi
Reitg.
