HOLA Appointed Latin American Agent for Taffy Entertainment

PARIS/LOS ANGELES, May 9: Taffy Entertainment has tapped HOLA Entertainment to serve as
its distribution agent for free-TV broadcasters and video distributors in Latin
America, with the new partnership kicking off at the L.A. Screenings later this
month.

Taffy
Entertainment will continue handling distribution of the pay-TV rights
for its catalogue. The company has
already closed deals with several Latin American broadcasters, including TV Globo
for Fantastic Four and Little
Vampire
and TVN Chile for Code
Lyoko
and Fantastic Four. The new collaboration with HOLA will enable Taffy
Entertainment to expand its existing business in Latin America by taking
advantage of HOLA’s relationships with additional broadcasters in the area.

At the L.A. Screenings, Taffy Entertainment and HOLA will be
presenting a number of projects that include the 26×22-minute series
science-based comedy action-adventure series Cosmic Quantum Ray; the 26×22-minute series Growing Up Creepie about a girl raised by a family of bugs; the
97×22-minute Code Lyoko, which
was created in both 2-D and 3-D CGI animation and follows the adventures of
four “ordinary students” who discover a parallel universe; the 26×22-minute Dive
Olly Dive!
about the fun-filled water
escapades of two young research submarines-in-training; and the 52×22-minute
comedy Pet Alien, which looks at
a 12-year-old’s life as seen through the eyes of five aliens.

“HOLA Entertainment has a very
impressive track record of success in the Latin American market,” said Marie
Conge, the senior VP of international sales at Taffy Entertainment. “We’re
confident their experience and knowledge will help Taffy increase its presence
in the region by securing deals with many of the top broadcasters and helping
to meet the demand for great new kids’ programming.”
