HIT Unveils New Bob Format

LONDON: HIT Entertainment is showcasing a new look for its long-running hit Bob the Builder, with the CG-animated series Ready, Steady, Build! due for a 2010 rollout on Nick Jr. in the U.K.

Ready, Steady, Build! features character-led story lines that focus on fun, play and building. The new format will have an enhanced focus on characters and locations, building familiarity and play patterns that can be translated into new ranges of consumer products. Ready, Steady, Build! also expands the viewing age window of the show, and comes with a new logo. HIT has also renewed its master toy license in EMEA with RC2 for Bob the Builder. Under the multi-territory, multi-category licensing agreement (excluding the U.S., U.K. and Japan) RC2 will manage all toy category rights in the EMEA territories from 2010. Martin Yaffe International will continue as HIT’s U.K. toy partner.

Bob the Builder celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
