HIT Entertainment Content to be Available on iTunes Store in the U.K.

LONDON, March 4: HIT
Entertainment announced that a selection of children’s programming, including
shows like Thomas & Friends and
Barney, will be available for purchase and download from
the iTunes Store in the U.K.

Set to roll out in April,
content from HIT on iTunes in the U.K. will feature more than 20 hours of
episodic downloads from children’s shows such as Barney, Bob the Builder, Thomas & Friends and Captain Pugwash. Half-hour episodes of these shows will be
available for download at £1.89 each and can be viewed on a PC or Mac,
video-enabled iPod, iPhone or Apple TV.

Ryan Tunstall, the IT and
operations director at HIT Entertainment, said: “The new HIT TV shows on iTunes
present a great opportunity to further extend the reach and distribution of our
programming to young fans across the U.K. iTunes will sit alongside existing
deals with online outlets such as YouTube in the U.K. to bring our content to
more viewers.”
