HISTORY Expands Polish Presence

NEW YORK/LONDON: A new deal with CANAL+ Cyfrowy takes HISTORY’s reach to more than 1 million households across Poland.

CYFRA+ is the first Polish DTH platform offering HISTORY. The channel will be fully localized in Polish, and will be offered on the extended basic package Komfortowy+ and full package Prestizowy+.

The channel is already available in Poland on cable platforms such as Aster, UPC and Toya. HISTORY is further available in more than 145 countries in more than 200 million households.

Tom Davidson, the managing director of AETN UK, said, “This agreement with CANAL+ Cyfrowy marks a major milestone for HISTORY. We are very pleased to extend the channel’s footprint further into Central Europe and we expect to announce further distribution agreements in the region in the near future.”

Davidson added, “CANAL+ Cyfrowy is an excellent platform with which to continue our expansion. They have demonstrated tremendous growth in a market which is highly competitive and we welcome the opportunity to work closely with them in relation to our channels business.”
