Hillary Duff to Star in New ABC Family Original Movie

BURBANK: Hillary Duff leads the cast of the two-hour original ABC Family movie The Business of Falling in Love, and is also serving as an executive producer.

Based on the book Diary of a Working Girl by Daniella Brodsky, The Business of Falling in Love stars Duff (The Story of Bonnie and Clyde, A Cinderella Story) as Lane Daniels, a fashion journalist who receives the professional opportunity of a lifetime. She must land a corporate job and date as many corporate guys in the office as possible for a cover story she is working on. Her new boss Tom (Michael McMillan, True Blood) takes her under his wing, and she soon meets Seth (Matt Dallas, Kyle XY) who she develops a crush on in the office. But then she meets Liam (Chris Carmack, Drop Dead Diva), who is off limits to date because he’s not a businessman. She must choose between what she believes might be love and her chance at professional glory with a successful story.

Duff serves as executive producer on the project alongside Frank Von Zerneck (Sorority Wars, Acceptance), Robert Sertner (Acceptance, Flirting with Forty), Ira Pincus (The Gambler, the Girl and the Gunslinger, Living Out Loud) and Jessica Horowitz (Spectacular!, Your Place or Mine).

Principal photography begins in New Orleans this month, and the movie is slated to premiere on ABC Family in spring 2010.
