WASHINGTON: Rock legend Henry Rollins, the former frontman of the ’80s punk band Black Flag, is to appear in a special episode of Explorer on National Geographic Channel as well as in a special on snakes for Nat Geo Wild.

In Explorer, Rollins will investigate the so-called "warrior gene," which is a single gene found only in men that some scientists believe is a possible indicator of violent behavior. Rollins is tested for the gene and goes in search of gene carriers.

For Nat Geo Wild, Rollins will lead the special Snake Underworld, which uncovers the little-know world of snake obsession in America. Rollins will guide viewers through the underbelly of snake obsession, revealing just how far people will go to get their hands on this dangerous species.

The episode of Explorer with Rollins will air on December 14 on National Geographic Channel. Snake Underworld premieres in early 2011 on Nat Geo Wild.

"Who ever thought that I’d get to investigate two of my favorite subjects, anger and snakes, with National Geographic?," commented Rollins. "I have enjoyed partnering with the Nat Geo Channels for an in-depth look at both fascinating topics."
