Hellcats, Nikita, One Tree Hill Get Full Seasons on The CW

BURBANK: Both of The CW’s freshman series, Hellcats and Nikita, have been given full-season orders, along with One Tree Hill, which heads into its eighth season.

Hellcats and Nikita both received back-nine-episode orders. Hellcats stars Aly Michalka and Ashley Tisdale. The series has improved The CW’s Wednesday 9 p.m. time period be 80 percent in the female 18-to-34 segment. Nikita, featuring Maggie Q, has become the second most-watched show on The CW, paired with The Vampire Diaries. 

"This fall, The CW made several strategic scheduling moves, including adding two of the most buzzed-about new series, Hellcats and Nikita, to our lineup, and we’re thrilled that they’ve paid off for us," said Dawn Ostroff, the president of entertainment at The CW. "By giving our two freshman series and proven performer One Tree Hill full orders, we’ll be able to continue our success and momentum throughout the rest of the season."
