Hearst to Launch Original Female-Skewing Content on NEXT.TV

LOS ANGELES, December 12: Hearst Magazines Digital Media has agreed
to supply a range of original female-skewing video programming from its
magazine brands to the new Internet TV service NEXT.TV.

Hearst Magazines, a unit of Hearst Corporation, is one of
the world's largest publishers of monthly magazines with 19 U.S. titles and
nearly 200 international editions. Among the original video content from Hearst
that will be available on the NEXT.TV service are Marie Claire's Beauty Boot
Camp
and CosmoGIRL! Spy.

The NEXT.TV service, which can be accessed with a wired or
wireless broadband Internet connection, offers broadcast-quality content to
viewers for free. The service will initially be available via a web update on
HP consumer notebooks that have been shipping with Microsoft Windows Vista
since January 2007. HP notebook users can access NEXT.TV through HP QuickPlay,
allowing them to watch hundreds of television and video programs with on-demand
Internet television channels.

At launch, NEXT.TV will feature more than 50 channels with
programming across all genres, including comedy, drama, cartoons,
documentaries, movies, sports and science fiction. Channels and programs
available on NEXT.TV will vary by geographic region and include programming
from around the world. NEXT.TV will continue adding channels and channel
partners after the launch.

"This relationship not only offers us an innovative way
to syndicate original video content to millions of potential viewers, but it
will also help to extend the readers' overall brand experience beyond the pages
of magazines and websites directly onto their computers and television
screens," said Chuck Cordray, the VP and general manager of Hearst
Magazines Digital Media. "We are very pleased to be working with NEXT.TV
on this exciting initiative."
