HBO Latin America Slates 2010 Programming

MIAMI: HBO Latin America has a number of premieres, original productions, mini-series and movies on its 2010 roster, as well as sports content.

The new mini-series The Pacific, produced by Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Gary Goetzman, joins the network. Also premiering is The Prisoner, based on the British series of the same name from the 1960s. HBO Latin America will also have new seasons of Big Love, Entourage, Mad Men, True Blood and Hung.

Original productions include Mulher de Fases, which follows a divorced woman who is searching for a man to rebuild her life. A second season of Capadocia is on the schedule as well.

HBO has the exclusive rights to a number of blockbuster films from studios such as Warner Bros. Entertainment, New Line Cinema, Walt Disney Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment. Movies on the lineup for 2010 include Seven Pounds, starring Will Smith; The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, starring Brad Pitt; Gran Torino, directed by and starring Clint Eastwood; and The Hangover, a comedy about four friends in Las Vegas for a bachelor party.

The Next Boxing Generation (NBG) franchise will continue to broadcast the best in boxing, and each month, in a premium showcase. Cinemax, as part of a group of channels belonging to HBO Latin America Group, is a premium channel that offers movies from Hollywood studios, international independent films and documentaries. In 2010, Cinemax will offer a wide range of titles, including Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Rachel Getting Married, Mongol and Let the Right One In. Additionally, Cinemax will debut Hollywood blockbusters like Mad Money, I am Legend and We Own the Night. Maxprime will continue to offer its male audience a selection of action, comedy, blockbuster and erotic titles. It will continue to broadcast controversial shows every Wednesday, as well as the more daring Penthouse adult content, every weekday after midnight.
