HBO, EchoStar Settle Dispute

NEW YORK, February 5: EchoStar Communications Corp. and Home
Box Office today announced they had settled a dispute over license fees, as
part of a broader agreement for carriage of the HBO and Cinemax channels on
DISH Network.

As part of the agreement, HBO dismissed their legal
proceedings against EchoStar, filed last month in New York, seeking $90 million
in unpaid license fees. EchoStar, meanwhile, has dismissed their program access
complaint against HBO filed with the Federal Communications Commission.
