HBO Central Europe Hires Czech & Slovak Country Manager

BUDAPEST: Ivan Sevcik has been named country manager for HBO Czech Republic and Slovakia, while Ondrej Zach is being promoted to senior VP of programming and acquisitions for HBO Central Europe.

Sevcik will be responsible for business operations in the region, including general management, sales and marketing. He was previously the chairman of the board at Axel Spring Praha. Linda Jensen, the chief executive of HBO Central Europe, said, “I am delighted to welcome Ivan Sevcik to HBO Central Europe at this exciting time for television in the region, I wish him every success.”

Zach is currently the VP of programming and acquisitions for HBO Central Europe and executive director of HBO Czech Republic. He has now been promoted to senior VP of programming and acquisitions for HBO Central Europe, responsible for acquiring and scheduling programming across the 14 countries in the region the channel airs. He also retains his post at HBO Czech Republic.
