Hawaii Five-O, Lonestar Head to Global

TORONTO: Canadian broadcaster Global Television has unveiled its 2010-2011 lineup, with new U.S. acquisitions that include Hawaii Five-O, Lonestar and Outsourced.

Presenting the slate yesterday, Barbara Williams, executive VP of content at Canwest Broadcasting, noted: "Global is heading into the new season with our most powerful schedule in years. With 16 prime-time returning series—including the number one program on television and the number one new hit of the year— plus the fall’s most talked-about new shows, Global is Canada’s home of the new hits."

Acquisitions include CBS’s Hawaii Five-O, FOX’s Lonestar and NBC’s Outsourced, Outlaw and Love Bites. Also new to the schedule is the Canadian drama series Shattered. For mid-season, Global has acquired FOX’s Ride-Along. Returning hits include House, Glee, NCIS: LA, The Good Wife, Survivor, NCIS, Lie To Me, Bones, The Office, 90210, The Simpsons, The Cleveland Show, Family Guy, American Dad, Brothers & Sisters and The Celebrity Apprentice.
