Gurin & Coyote Conseil Present La Main

LOS ANGELES: The first production to result from the development partnership between The Gurin Company and French outfit Coyote Conseil, La Main, is slated for a pre-Christmas broadcast in France on NRJ 12.

The elimination-style competition watches 12 players compete to win a new car. Contestants start out by placing their hands on the vehicle, and then must survive multiple challenges while always remaining in contact with the car. The last person to remain with their hand on the car wins.

La Main is a straightforward format,” said Phil Gurin, the president of The Gurin Company, which holds U.S. and U.K. distribution rights for La Main. “But it’s also a test of endurance, perseverance and cunning that will bring out instinctual game play in the contestants, making for great television that translates into any language or culture. We are pleased that our partnership with Coyote has yielded results so quickly.”

“We expect La Main to draw a great reaction from the French audience,” added Christophe Dechavanne, the founder of Coyote Conseil. “We’re delighted to team up with The Gurin Company, which brings deep experience in creating competition programs that are entertaining and relevant to current audiences.”
