Gravitas Ventures is introducing streaming service Gravitas Movies, now available in the U.S.

Boasting over 1,000 independent film selections, Gravitas Movies is ad-free and costs $4.99 per month. The service is available over the internet on Comcast’s Xfinity X1 and on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV, or on the Gravitas Movies app. It will be available globally later this summer. The OTT is powered by a combination of Float Left’s Flicast platform, JW Player and Cleeng.

Notable titles available for streaming from the service include Brothers in Arms (Johnny Depp, Charlie Sheen, William Defoe), Billy Boy (Melissa Benoist), All We Had (directed by Katie Holmes) and Michael Caine’s documentary about the 1960s, My Generation.

“At Gravitas we have always taken pride in being a distributor that can connect the artist and the consumer,” said Michael Murphy, president of Gravitas Ventures. By launching our SVOD service, we are taking the next step in bringing our vast young library of films to a global audience. Given the volume, diversity of programming and refresh rate, we have one of the best value propositions in the marketplace today for fans of independent films and documentaries and plan to keep the offerings fresh and new for years to come.”
