Granada Unveils DISCOP Slate

LONDON, May 27: Granada
International will attend DISCOP with a diverse range of programs, including
formats, entertainment, drama and factual fare.

Bonekickers, a 6×1-hour high-definition series, headlines the drama slate for Granada. From the
creators of Life on Mars, Bonekickers
follows a group of archaeologists
who are working at the front line of history. Lost in Austen, a reinvention of Jane Austen’s Pride and
Prejudice
, joins Murdoch
Mysteries
, a 13×1-hour detective
series, to round out Granada’s drama offerings.

The 90-minute TV movie Nature
of the Beast
will also be
available at DISCOP. The dark comedy stars Eric Mabius (Ugly Betty) as a husband-to-be who is also a werewolf. In
kids’ fare, The Pinky & Perky Show, a high-definition CGI series for 6- to 11-year-olds, centers on a
pair of piglets who are working on their own television show.

In the factual genre, The
Neanderthal Code
, an evolutionary
detective story, will be offered alongside the wildlife program Street
Monkeys
, produced by Icon Films
for National Geographic Channels International and Smithsonian Channel. Old
Skool with Terry and Gita
, a
5×30-minute factual entertainment program, is also on Granada’s slate.

Format offerings include The
Colour of Money
, the quiz show Relentless, Fever Pitch, Come Dine with Me
and The Chopping Block.
