Granada TV Enters Taiwan & Thailand

HONG KONG: The English-language entertainment channel Granada TV has expanded its reach into Taiwan and Thailand, together adding more than 3.5 million households to its distribution across Asia and the Middle East.

In Thailand, Granada TV is now available to cable TV systems as part of the recently launched HITS (Head-end-in-the-sky) platform, operated by the consortium Thai Cable Holdings. In Taiwan, the channel is to become part of the TITV Golden package on the IPTV platform operated by Chung Hwa telecom.

James Ross, the regional director for Asia at ITV Studios Global Entertainment, said, “It’s gratifying to see how Granada TV and its mix of drama, reality and entertainment programming has been so enthusiastically embraced by these two new territories. With the launch of Granada TV in Taiwan and Thailand, we are now one of the fastest growing channels in Asia.”
