Granada Inks HBO Latin American Deal

LONDON, January 16: Granada
International’s new dedicated Latin American office, established last year in
Rio de Janeiro, has inked a package deal with HBO Latin America.

The service has acquired a
selection of new titles from the Granada International catalogue including
drama, Hollywood TV movies and factual programming for premiere in the region
early this year. Titles include the seventh and final season of Prime
Suspect
, along with a 46-minute
behind-the-scenes special about the acclaimed drama. The deal also includes the
Ray Winstone movie All in the Game,
Robbie Coltrane in Cracker—Nine Eleven, and the 3-part The Impressionists. HBO Latin America also opted for a range of
90-minute Hollywood TV movies, among them The House Sitter with Tori Spelling; Life Is Not A Fairytale, based on the life story of American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino; and 8 Days To Live, a true-life story starring Kelly Rowan. Also
featured are The Triumph with
Matthew Perry, as well as Terry,
Murder On Pleasant Drive and Santa
Baby
.

Rounding off the deal is
the latest installment in Michael Apted’s acclaimed Up documentary series, 49 Up.
