GolTV Bags Rights to German Qualifying Games for 2010 World Cup

MIAMI, March 25: GolTV has
scored the exclusive U.S. and Canadian broadcast rights to all the German
National Team 2010 World Cup qualifying matches starting in September.

The all-soccer network
will televise coverage of Germany taking on Russia, Wales, Lichtenstein,
Azerbaijan and Finland to North American cable, satellite and telco
subscribers, as well as six of Germany’s friendly games, including live
coverage of the team’s match against rival England.

"We jumped at the
opportunity to bring our viewers the non-stop action of Germany's qualifying
matches," said Constantino Voulgaris, the executive VP of programming and
new business development at GolTV. "Our rights to the German qualifiers
demonstrate our commitment to providing North American soccer fans the
opportunity to see the best matches played in every corner of the world without
leaving the comfort of their living rooms."
