ORLANDO: Pipe Dream is a new docu-reality series, debuting on January 11 on Golf Channel, that follows professional golfer Mark Burk, who found himself homeless and is working to get his life back on track.

Burk knew from the age of 13 that he wanted to play golf professionally. He went on to play in a variety of professional tournaments across the country and internationally, and later became a golf instructor and Hollywood consultant to such A-list celebrities as Halle Berry and Hugh Jackman. Burk became homeless in 2008 due to an unfortunate turn of events and a relationship gone awry. Pipe Dream follows Burk’s struggle to survive on the streets and his efforts to get back on the green. Actor James Remar narrates the series.

Pipe Dream helps kick off a slate of original programming debuting this January on Golf Channel, including the third season of The Haney Project. Golf Channel is also set to debut its first morning show, Morning Drive, and the start of the 2011 PGA Tour season.
