Go-Ahead Given for New Tween Live-Action Series

TORONTO, October 22:
Astral Media’s Family Channel in Canada has commissioned 13 half-hour episodes
of Connor Undercover, a new
tween comedy series that is being co-produced by Shaftesbury Films and Heroic
Film Company.

Currently in production,
the series is scheduled to air on Family Channel in 2010. Connor Undercover made its MIPCOM debut as a multiplatform property,
with interactive content to support the series developed by Heroic Film Company
partner Karen Lee Hall. Each episode will feature one original song with a
corresponding music video featuring cast member Jordan Francis.

The series follows
15-year-old Connor Heath, a spy buff whose life changes the day Gisela Calicos,
the first daughter of a small island nation, come to live with his family.

“We’re thrilled to see our
company gaining such momentum,” said John May, a partner at Heroic Film
Company. “We are also delighted to be working on Connor Undercover with our friends at Shaftesbury and Family
Channel.”

schedule.”
