GlassBOX to Roll Out Music Net on Rogers

TORONTO: This fall, GlassBOX Television will launch a 24-hour music channel, called AUX, on Rogers Cable.

GlassBOX premiered the brand as a web destination in November and has begun running a weekly two-hour block from the service on Mondays on BiteTV, its multiplatform channel. AUX delivers music-themed journalism, current affairs, news, charts, videos, films and documentaries focused on the rising stars and renowned musicians from Canada and around the world.

“We are delighted to be launching AUX on Rogers as a key next step in our strategy to bring our unique brand of music television to audiences across Canada,” said Raja Khanna, the co-CEO of GlassBOX Television and founder and president of AUX. “We’ve had tremendous reaction from the music industry, artists and viewers on the important void AUX is filling. Canada is a hotbed of musical talent, innovation and culture and we are bringing that energy to screens across the country.”

AUX will roll out on Rogers Digital VIP, also home to BiteTV. Its original programming slate includes ExploreMusic with Alan Cross, the interview and music events show Volume and the urban music magazine show Cypher are just some of the AUX original series on AUX.
