GK Films Sets Up TV Division

SANTA MONICA: Graham King’s GK Films has launched a new company division dedicated to the development, production and worldwide distribution of TV programming, GK-TV, with former Lionsgate exec Craig Cegielski at the helm.

As president of GK-TV, Cegielski will be based in Santa Monica and report directly to the company’s president and CEO, Graham King. Cegielski comes to the role from Lionsgate, where he served as executive VP of programming and sales for international TV. Prior to joining Lionsgate, Cegielski worked for CBS/Kingworld International, specializing in local production and programming. He also worked for Paramount International Television in the studio’s co-production division.

King commented: “This is the next logical step for us. We see great growth potential in television and are excited to be expanding into this arena. Craig is one of the top television executives in the business and with access to some of the best material, we see the launch of GK-TV as the perfect expansion.”

“It’s an exciting opportunity to work with Graham in the creation of this new division within GK Films,” said Cegielski. “GK-TV will draw upon our shared global experience as we shape the company’s programming strategy and work to establish creative and business partnerships both in the U.S. and internationally.”
