FtvS Sets Cast for Persons Unknown

LOS ANGELES, October 27:
Jason Wiles (Third Watch) and Australian actress Daisy Betts are
the latest cast members to join Fox Television Studios’ (FtvS)
Persons Unknown, a new one-hour
mystery drama.

Michael Rymer, who directed the Battlestar Galactica pilot, has signed on to direct
the show’s first episode. The series follows a group of strangers who wake up
in a deserted town in the middle of nowhere, with no recollection of how they
got there, and must work together to solve the mystery. Also cast in the series
are Tina Homes (Six Feet Under), Sean
O’Bryan (Vantage Point) and Lola Glaudini (Criminal
Minds
).

Produced in Mexico City in
cooperation with co-production partners Televisa and
Italian broadcaster RAI, Persons Unknown begins
shooting today for the first 13 episodes.

David
Madden, Fox Television Studios’ executive VP of programming, said, “We tried to
cast Steve McQueen; he was busy or something, so we chose Jason. He has this
extraordinary mix of intensity, humor and fundamental male appeal, as he’s proven
in series after series. As for Daisy, while this will essentially be her U.S.
debut, we thought she was smart, complex and frighteningly sexy.”
