Fresh TV Producing New Live-Action Comedy

TORONTO: Fresh TV, the company behind the hit Total Drama animated franchise, has a new live-action sitcom in the works, in association with Canada’s Family Channel.

Really Me will be filmed in Toronto, with the first episodes to air in April on Family Channel. The series follows 15-year-old Maddy, who wins the ultimate prize of landing her own reality TV show. She quickly realizes that it can be tough being a star when you are in a family of scene-stealers. The series features Sydney Imbeau (Marley & Me: The Puppy Years), Wesley Morgan (Being Erica), Azer Greco (The Town Christmas Forgot) and Neil Crone (Little Mosque).

Really Me is about the good, the bad and the ugly of being on reality TV, and shows just how crazy family life can get when the cameras are rolling 24/7,” said Tom McGillis, the president of Fresh TV. “We are very excited about our cast of industry veterans and rising stars.”
