Project Runway is airing to great success in Brazil as well, and we’ve just seen the launch of the debut series of Idols in Puerto Rico. We are looking forward to bringing a great new slate of shows to MIPCOM and to territories across Latin America over the coming year.”

Sheila Aguirre, FremantleMedia Enterprises’ senior VP of sales and development for Latin America and U.S. Hispanic, added: “The format arena has really heated up for us in the Southern Cone this year. Our format sales to terrestrials have increased by a margin and this year we’ve had Take Me Out, Got Talent, X Factor and My Name Is all airing on different channels in Chile. My Name Is, on Channel 13, is currently the country’s most popular show, while Talento Chileno, airing on Chilevision, peaked with an audience share of over 50 percent. We are also very excited about the launch of Idols in Chile in 2012."
