FremantleMedia Enterprises Secures Deals for Mr. Bean

LONDON, March 27: On the eve of the anticipated worldwide
release of the second Mr Bean feature
film, Mr Bean’s Holiday,
FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has secured a raft of new sales and series
renewal deals for both the live-action and animated series of Mr Bean.

The 14×30-minute live-action Mr Bean series has been licensed to Jeunesse TV in France;
Fox in Italy; Disney in Taiwan; RTSI in
Switzerland; Lithuania Radio & Television; and Latitud in Guatemala. The
series has also been renewed in 13 territories, including Australia, Hong Kong,
pan-regional Latin America, Sweden, Switzerland and Denmark. The series, which
first aired in 1990, has been licensed to over 200 territories.

Mr Bean The Animated Series, available as a 52×15-minute or as a 26×30-minute series, has recently
been licensed to Kidz Entertainment in Denmark; Lithuania Radio &
Television; MBC in the Middle East; Latitud in Guatemala; and Prava I Prevodi
in Serbia. Territories that have re-licensed the animated series include
Taiwan, Finland and Cyprus. In the animated series, Mr Bean gets into all sorts
of mad-cap capers with his faithful sidekick Teddy, as Rowan Atkinson lends his
vocals to Bean’s hilarious animated adventures.
