FremantleMedia Announces New Licensing Deals for DangerMouse

LONDON, June 18: FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) has
secured a raft of new
licensing deals in the U.K. for its classic kids’ brand DangerMouse, which will be returning to the Licensing 2007
International show in New York this week.

FME has secured a new deal with Smiffy’s in the U.K. to
produce a range of costumes and accessories for adults and children. Bravado
International Group has renewed the rights to produce a range of men’s DangerMouse
T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts and headwear,
which will be available in leading record retail chains across the U.K. These
include HMV, Virgin and MVC, as well as in ENVY, Urban Outfitters and online
through play.com and truffleshuffle.co.uk. This marks the first time that FME
has taken DangerMouse apparel
into the record retail industry.

Additionally, FME has granted licensing rights to Global
Licensing Limited to produce men’s and women’s T-shirts and sweatshirts for
distribution into U.K. high street retailers such as Tesco, Asda, Topshop, New
Look, Woolworths and John Lewis. FME has also reached a deal with PMS
International for the production of a line DangerMouse plush toys of all sizes and key rings.

DangerMouse, which is
centered on a secret agent mouse and his trusty, bumbling sidekick Penfold,
first aired on ITV1 in the U.K. in 1981. Since then, the series has aired in
more than 80 countries worldwide including Australia, India, Romania, Trinidad
and Zambia.

DangerMouse is
celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. To coincide with this
anniversary, FME has teamed up with a raft of licensees to launch a range of
celebratory products that includes apparel, collectable figurines and a special
25th anniversary edition DangerMouse DVD box set.
