France 24 Celebrates Anniversary With 24-Hour Arabic Schedule

PARIS, November
27: To celebrate its first anniversary next month, the French international
news channel France 24 will broadcast 24 hours of programming in Arabic on
December 6.

The special
broadcasting schedule will kick off at 8 p.m. (Paris time) on December 6.
During the course of the 24-hour schedule, the Arabic channel’s programming
will include several surprises and events.

France 24 is the first 24-hour news channel to
broadcast in three languages: French, English and Arabic. The special schedule
is part of the channel’s efforts to expand its services for Arabic-speaking
populations. France 24 can be accessed by 250 million people worldwide and is
available in Arabic on Nilesat, Arabsat Badr-4 and Hot-Bird, which is also
available in French and English.
