LOS ANGELES: The animated comedies Family Guy and The Cleveland Show have been picked up for new seasons on FOX, returning to the network’s Sunday night lineup.

Family Guy has been renewed for a tenth season. The series, from creator/exec producer Seth MacFarlane, follows the adventures of an endearingly ignorant dad and his odd middle-class family. The show features the voice talents of MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Seth Green and Mila Kunis.

Also from MacFarlane, The Cleveland Show is a spin-off based on a popular character, Cleveland Brown, from Family Guy. The series shows Cleveland and his new life in Virginia, with his high-school-sweetheart-turned-second-wife Donna and their three children. Mike Henry, Kevin Michael Richardson, Sanaa Lathan, Reagan Gomez and Jason Sudeikis voice characters on the show.

"For nine seasons, our viewers have been cracked up, delighted, surprised and, at times, gloriously disturbed by the mind of Seth MacFarlane—and they keep coming back for more," said Kevin Reilly, the president of entertainment at Fox Broadcasting Company. "The Griffins and the Browns have become cornerstones of our Sunday nights, and we can’t wait to find out what new adventures Seth, Mike and Rich cook up for them next season."
