Fox International Channels Makes Promotions

LOS ANGELES: Jesus Perezagua has been named the president of Fox International Channels for Europe and Africa, and Jason Thorp was made the executive VP of content for the same regions.

Perezagua will continue to be based in Amsterdam and report to Hernan López, the CEO of Fox International Channels and National Geographic Channels International. Perezagua has spearheaded FIC’s growth in Europe and will look after 15 channels and online businesses in the U.K. and Africa. He was worked for the company since 2003 and acted as managing director of FIC Iberia. In 2005 he helped expand FIC across Eastern and Central Europe, Turkey and Greece.

Thorp will locate to Rome and report to Perezagua. He will oversee pan-European programming acquisitions, production and strategy and will work with teams around the world. Thorp also began at FIC in 2003 and helped make the FX channel successful in the U.K.
