FOX Crosses 200-Million-Homes Milestone Internationally

LOS ANGELES: More than 200 million homes have access to the FOX entertainment channel outside of the U.S.

FOX, part of the FOX International Channels (FIC) bouquet, is now in 125 countries, in 31 languages from 49 feeds. FOX is the exclusive international pay-TV broadcaster of The Walking Dead and in several territories is the first-run home for dramas and comedies such as The Bridge, Glee, Homeland, Modern Family, The Simpsons and others.

During the last year, FIC undertook a plan to expand the FOX general-entertainment channels, rebranding existing channels and launching new FOX channels in key markets, increasing its distribution from 140 million to 200 million.

“FOX is one of the best recognized, most highly valued brand names in the entire media world. Channel brands really do have meaning to worldwide audiences,” said Hernan Lopez, FIC's CEO. “Not only did we increase our total number of homes beyond 200 million in the past year, but our ratings increased on every FOX channel FIC operates. FOX is a name that is synonymous with entertainment in every part of the world.”
