FOX Crime Expands to the Baltics, Russia

LONDON, October 29: News
Corp.’s FOX International Channels is rolling out FOX Crime in the Baltics and
Russia as an 18-hour service dedicated to crime, investigation and mystery.

Starting today, FOX Crime
can be seen in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. FOX has
inked deals with the leading cable and IPTV operators in the region, accounting
for more than 70 percent of the cable subscriber base. These include STV,
Starman, Elion in Estonia, Init Corporation in Lithuania and BALTCOM in Latvia.
There are additional plans to extend the channel’s reach in other countries,
such as Russia and Ukraine.

The channel
will broadcast in English and Russian languages and offer Lithuanian and
Estonian viewers subtitles in prime time. A planned increase of subtitled
programming is in the works for the near future.

FOX Crime
features original programs, biographies of infamous criminals and documentaries
on historical crimes, as well as investigation crime TV series from around the
world. Offerings include thrillers and dramas such as Dexter, Brotherhood, Monk, JAG and Kojak, as well as a wide range of factual series
including Body of Evidence, Video Justice and Inside, among others.
