FOX 21 Lines Up Comic Book-Based Series

LOS ANGELES: FOX 21, a division of 20th Century Fox Television, is developing a TV series based on Platinum Studios’ upcoming comic book series Indestructible Man.

Indestructible Man tells the story of Nick Rabel, an elite secret agent who can’t be killed. He is one of 5,600 comic characters owned by Platinum Studios. The company’s chairman and CEO, Scott Mitchell Rosenberg, will executive produce the Indestructible Man series.

"This is a fun comic story where our indestructible lead character has major issues," said Chris Carlisle, the president of FOX 21. "Scott and his team at Platinum have created a unique combination of superpowers and humor."

Platinum Studios’ film and TV division is also working on Cowboys & Aliens with producers Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer and DreamWorks, Universal Pictures, Imagine Entertainment and Kurtzman/Orci. In addition, Platinum is developing Unique with David Heyman at Walt Disney Pictures; The Witchblade with Marc Silvestri, Top Cow Productions and Arclight Films; and Atlantis Rising with DreamWorks, Kurtzman/Orci and director Len Wiseman, among many others. Dead of Night, a collaboration with Hyde Park Entertainment and Omnilab Media, is currently in post-production.
