Former Hollywood Reporter Exec Joins International Academy

NEW YORK, February 5: The
International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has tapped John Burman,
the former international general manager at The Hollywood Reporter, as its new director of development.

Based at the International Academy’s New York headquarters,
Burman will be responsible for securing new worldwide sponsorships and will
also be working with existing sponsors of Academy initiatives such as
International Academy Day, The International Emmy World Television Festival and
The International Emmy Awards Gala.

“I am looking forward to John’s active involvement in the
ongoing growth of the Academy worldwide,” said Camille Bidermann-Roizen, the
senior VP and executive director of The International Academy of Television
Arts & Sciences. “His unique expertise in international television will be
a great asset for developing new strategic partnerships.”
